Easter Day

We had another fantastic family Easter! Our day began with 8:00 mass said in memory of my Dad. We all miss him so much. Even after 16 months...

When we returned from church, we woke up Daddy (who had gotten home from work 3 hours earlier) to find Easter baskets. That darn bunny was tricky this year... Nevada's was in the front hall closet, Neleah's was in her closet, Nolan's was under a big floor pillow in his room and Nate was the last to find his behind the towels in the towel closet. The treats in the basket... all the things they gave up for Lent including BBQ chips for Nolan, Fruit Snacks for Neleah and Nevada and Pop and fruit snacks for Nate. Also, the bunny brought new bathing suits for everyone... great to use in the pool at our new house! (YES... I love saying that! :) ) After finding Easter baskets upstairs and having a yummy breakfast of chocolate, BBQ chips and peeps, we headed into the basement to find eggs the bunny had hidden.

We then went to my moms house for a traditional Polish Easter ... Breakfast. The food was delish!!!!! The kids even like polish sausage now. :) My Gram (89 years old) was there along with some aunts and uncles. Two of four brothers were there. (The other two were vacationing together in Aruba!!!!) The kids played wonderfully... even outside. What a treat! The weather was cold but it sure beats the last few egg hunts at Grandma's where the eggs were hidden in the SNOW!!! Yes, the kids had another egg hunt where they got to find 10 eggs hidden outside. All in all, it was a wonderful day. Daddy had to leave by 5:30 to get home to nap for work. We stayed at moms until about 8:00.
