We Took the Curtains AND the Toilet Paper!

I know.... I know... but perhaps you'll agree once you read this post!



If you remember from this post, the people buying our house were asking for ridiculous things in order to close when we were originally supposed to... as they agreed to close ASAP.



Since then,



* we have been paying per day to be in the new house

* our septic certificate expired and a new test had to be done

*our original closing date did not go through and now they have granted us another of June 18!!

* we are paying by the day to be here!!!!!



So, last week, the buyers were ready to close.... YEAH FOR THEM!!!! (Can you sense the frustration???) I spent a lot of time there cleaning and bleaching and bleaching and cleaning to make the house nice and neat for them. I was trying to be the bigger person and not let this crazy behavior get the best of me. I was finished cleaning on Tuesday night. The final inspection was Wedensday and they were set to close on Thursday. We heard nothing after the inspection on Wed and assumed we were good to go.



Thursday morning we got a call from our lawyer saying their lawyer had called and said they would only close IF we agreed to fix the ONE ROOF SHINGLE that had fallen off since the last inspection or if we would put money in escrow to fix it!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????? ONE ROOF SHINGLE!!!! ONE SHINGLE!!!!!! Oh, man... my BP is raising again.... sorry!! So we had to call our "guy" to come out and replace the one shingle and pay him to do it. These people have cost us a MINT because they are so selfish, self-centered and have crazy expectations. What we SHOULD have done was to say... ok NO deal... we won't fix the one stinkin roof shingle.... deals off!!! But instead, we took the curtains AND the toilet paper!!!!



Yes... I'm mature!!! I know!!!
